“To look for hidden money” is a common expression among the people of Baterías del Mercosur.

This expression refers to the great economic importance of having a battery fleet, which comes before technical or logistical issues.
Indeed, traction batteries must be efficient for at least five years.- This is rarely controlled: not only that the term is complied with, but that the batteries are actually efficient.- Both aspects are equally important and both can “hide” significant amounts of money that are lost without even showing. We call this “hidden money.”

The same happens with stationary batteries, which have different shelf lives and maintenance methods. - However, the effects are the same: less duration than expected and risks of lack of service when it is really needed.

That “hidden money” is found when industrial batteries are bought. There will always be a supplier offering a cheaper product and the question should be: what will the performance and shelf life actually be? Half the expected performance means twice the cost.

“Hidden money” is continuously being found by adequately maintaining and managing the battery and charger fleet. Simple and cheap solutions are always coming up, such as adding this task to employees who perform other tasks in the Plant. However, only a professional management, like the one offered by Baterías del Mercosur, will help find said “hidden money.”
