Stationary batteries are used in activities which require a constant electric power supply, specially in telephones, security and alarm systems, generation, distribution and transport of electric power, etc.

Baterías del Mercosur offers vented (open) and sealed stationary batteries, also called hermetic or monoblock batteries. All models are Maxener brand.

Stationary vented (open) batteries are manufactured at the plant in Colonia, Uruguay, with cells of 2 volts to conform banks of 100 to 3,600 amperes. Manufacturing, materials and controls specifications are the same as in the case of traction batteries.

Sealed stationary batteries are manufactured in different plants in Europe and Asia, according to models. They are currently offered in 12 volts, with an amperage ranging from 70 to 200 amperes. The range of said amperage is currently being increased.
